One kitchen, everyone in sync
If you share a kitchen, QuickBowl keeps the pantry, the plan and the grocery bill in one place — so the "what's for dinner tonight" conversation happens before 6pm.
One shared pantry
Everyone sees what is actually in the kitchen, so nobody comes home with a third bottle of oil.
One shared plan
Whoever is cooking sees the week, the portions, and who is eating tonight.
Shared costs
Household groceries are logged and split, so who-owes-what stops being a group-chat argument.

Cook through history
Real dishes from real historical cookbooks, adapted to whatever's in your pantry. Each era is included with Premium and Family plans.

Eighteen centuries before the drive-thru, Romans were already grinding meat into spiced patties — and yes, historians really do call this one the hamburger's oldest ancestor.

Blank Mang
The word "blancmange" means dessert today — but the medieval dish it comes from wasn't sweet at all, it was shredded chicken and rice.

Sauce Cameline
This one sauce shows up across medieval French and English kitchens alike, thickened not with cream or flour but with stale bread.

Bubble-and-Squeak
Mrs. Beeton didn't just include a recipe for leftovers — she gave leftover cooking its own named chapter, and this is its most famous dish.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is QuickBowl?
QuickBowl is an AI-powered recipe generator and meal planning app. You tell it what ingredients you have, and it instantly creates personalized, nutritious recipes you can cook right now — with full nutrition info, shopping lists, and step-by-step instructions.
Can QuickBowl generate recipes from ingredients I already have?
Yes! That's the core feature. Add your pantry items once, and QuickBowl's AI will generate recipes using exactly what you have, minimizing food waste and saving you money on groceries.
Does QuickBowl support dietary restrictions?
Absolutely. QuickBowl supports vegan, vegetarian, keto, paleo, gluten-free, dairy-free, and many other dietary preferences. Set your preferences once and every generated recipe will respect them.
Is QuickBowl free to use?
Yes — QuickBowl has a free tier with 10 AI recipe generations per month, full pantry tracking with barcode and photo scanning, and up to 5 saved recipes. Premium plans unlock unlimited generations, advanced meal planning, nutrition tracking, and more.
Can I use QuickBowl for meal prep and weekly planning?
Yes. The built-in Weekly Meal Planner lets you schedule breakfast, lunch, and dinner for every day of the week. It automatically generates a combined shopping list and tracks your daily nutrition targets.
Does QuickBowl work for camping or outdoor cooking?
QuickBowl includes a dedicated Camping Mode with pack checklists, gear organization, and campfire-optimized recipes that work with limited equipment and no refrigeration.
Are the AI recipes any good, or are they generic?
Every recipe is built around your pantry, your appliances, your diet, and how much time you have — not copied from a template. Before you cook, it tells you what the recipe is still missing and roughly what that costs, and it names the ingredients you are using up. The historical recipes each cite the cookbook or source they were adapted from.
Who is QuickBowl not for?
If you like browsing recipes and shopping from a list, or you want groceries delivered, QuickBowl will not add much — it is built for cooking with what is already in your kitchen. It is also not a medical or dietitian service: nutrition numbers are estimates, so check with a professional before relying on them for a medical condition.
Can I subscribe to Premium from the Android app?
Not yet directly inside the Android app — but you can subscribe anytime at quickbowl.app from any browser, and Premium unlocks automatically the next time you open the Android app signed in with the same account.

From our kitchen to yours
Hi, I'm Calvin, the founder of QuickBowl, based right here in San Diego. My wife, Kasi, and I love cooking together, but as parents, weeknight dinners are the hardest part of the day. We kept running into the same problem: a fridge full of groceries, no idea what to make, and good food going bad before we used it.
That waste adds up. The USDA estimates a family of four throws away about $1,500 of food a year. So I built QuickBowl. Tell it what you already have, and it turns that into dinner, so less goes to waste and you buy less you don't need.
Our go-to? Oak-smoked Santa Maria-style tri-tip, with an old fashioned on the side.
We're also die-hard San Diego Padres fans, which is why QuickBowl wears brown and gold.
